Hope Performing Arts Centre is a growing Music and Drama school located in South West Sydney.  We believe in nurturing curious learners who embrace reaching their potential as musicians and actors.  

We are currently Hiring 2 teachers

Guitar Tutor (Thursdays 4 - 7pm with scope to grow these hours) - Immediate Start

Maternity Relief Postition Singing/Drama Teacher from mid May 2023 - 18 weeks (Thursdays 3:30pm -7:30 pm)

Small Group and Private Lesson Guitar Teacher

Small Group and Private Lesson Vocal Teacher

Resposibilities

  • Show up prepared to teach your students
  • Engage with parents questions and offer regular feedback (during student lesson time)
  • Attend quarterly meetings (paid)
  • Work on your personal teaching growth plan

Skills/Experience Required

  • Ability to teach rockschool guitar grades (guitar position)/AMEB Drama and Musical Theatre singing grades (singing/drama teaching position)
  • Demonstrated love of working with young children
  • Have a current working with children number
  • Ability to teach another instrument perferably piano and or teach early level music theory is desirable
  • Have completed a grade 5 or above examination in any syllabus on your instrument or can demonstrate the ability to perform at Grade 5 and above level on your instrument

  • Love working with kids and have the ability to make them laugh and stay enagaged in class

  • Possess a strong desire to grow your teaching ability

  • Commitment to attend your regular teaching days

Schedule

Guitar Teacher Thursdays 4 - 7pm - Immediate start

Vocal/Drama Maternity Leave Position Teacher 4 - 7pm Thurdays  - Start Date Thursday 27th April

Please note that we are a year round music/drama school,  you must be available to teach every week of the year except during our christmas/new year closure period.

Compensation

  • $30 - $50 per hour plus super
  • Paid quartarly training days
